To build leg muscles, you’re going to need to progressively increase resistance. If you don’t, all you’ll do is tone your legs. You can build leg muscles with resistance bands if you don’t have weights. I suggest getting a set of Bodylastics resistance bands because you can increase the tension with them. Click here to learn how to combine the bands.
Squats
Lunges
Laying Hamstrings Curl
Standing Leg Adduction
Standing Leg Abduction
Calf Raise
Seated Leg Adduction
Seated Leg Abduction
Seated Leg Extension
Standing Hip Extension
Doing lunges and squats with just your body weight for starters will do a pretty good job, actually. Then you can get a couple 1-gallon water or milk jugs and fill those with water/sand and use them as weights. That will keep you going for quite a while longer. If you have a broomstick or rod you can hang multiple jugs on it and put it over your shoulders like a barbell and go forever.
