Build Muscle Without Supplements
A reader asks…
What do i do to build muscle when i don’t have supplements/protein? I currently do not have access to whey protein, and i would like to know what is the best way to build muscle.
Should I be eating carbs and protein rich foods, because I hear that I should develop a layer of fat to turn into muscle.

Fat cannot, will not, does not turn into muscle. They are completely different. That’s like saying liver cells will turn into a nose.
There are other sources of protein besides supplements. There is food, but it does not have to be animal flesh. I can be plant based protein, which is better for you anyway. Here is an article listing plant based protein and their protein content: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1100010/plantbased_foods_high_in_protein.html?cat=5
You will need to exercise to build muscle. This needs to be resistance training, but you don’t need to go to the gym and buy expensive machines. Just get youself a simple, yet highly effective set of resistance bands like the ones shown below.
Then go here for free resistance bands workouts. In fact, you should go there right now and check them out so you can see what I’m talking about.
Chicken, fish and egg whites are all protein-rich foods.
I don’t mean fish fingers and chicken nuggets, though – you need the real, fresh food.
