Exercises For The Blind
A reader asks…
What are some exercises that a blind, or visually impaired person can do without going to the gym? As a fulltime college student I don’t have much time left to go to the gym. If there are any fitness trainers or health personnel out there could you please help? Thanks!

Bodylastics offers free workouts online for muscle building, toning, abs, cardio, and more. The workouts are executed with their Bodylastics resistance bands. You can get a complete set for under $50. Each tube is thicker than the next so you’ll be able to detect the resistance level of each band in no time. They’re also very easy to clip/unclip onto the handles, door anchor and straps.
Resistance bands can workout your entire body and they can mimic most of the exercises that machine in the gym can.
The instructors in the free workouts do an excellent job of explaining proper execution, but you might want to have someone watch the workouts with you a few times so they can help convey how they’re done.
If you don’t want to workout online, they just released a 3-pack set of DVDs from their hit workout show Chiseled. All 3 series together contain a total 18 DVDs and 54 workouts. That’s 3 months of workouts and no workout is ever exactly the same.
