Finding A Gym Membership For Less Than 1 Year
A reader asks…
I want to go to the gym but I don’t want to pay for a one year membership. I just wanna pay for a few months or weeks, but my mom says I have to get a one year membership. I don’t want to pay for a gym and not go after I lose the weight I want. Do I have to get a one year membership if I go to the gym?

You just have to call around. Some of the bigger chains may have a month-to-month, 3-month, or 6-month plan.
Personally, I don’t think you’re looking at the total picture. I think quitting working out after you lose the weight you want is a bad idea. What’s to keep you from settling back into your old habits and then regaining the weight?
You really don’t need to go to the gym at all. With the proper diet of eating nutritional foods and the right kind of exercise, you can do it on your own. I did.
You can get a total body workout from head to toe with resistance bands. They can do all the same workouts the machines in the gym can for less than a one-time payment of $50. I suggest getting the Bodylastics bands because they’re adjustable. Not only for workouts at varying heights, but you can also adjust the resistance level for each exercise. To see what you can do with them, you can watch and participate in their free daily workouts here.
