How can I build some muscle without going to the gym?
A reader asks…
I’m interested in building some muscle, but I do not have time to go to the gym. I’m pretty thin so I’m not trying to lose weight, just get stronger visibly.
Any exercises I could do at home, like sit ups and push ups? Or running around the block or something? Any advice or website is appreciated.

Running around the block isn’t going to build muscle.
To build muscle you want to do high intensity resistance training. It means doing roughly 8-10 reps with a level of resistance that challenges you enough so that it takes a significant amount of effort to complete that last rep. Then rest for about 30 seconds and move onto the next muscle group.
