A good rule of thumb is to skip foods that are processed, packaged, manufactured or engineered.

A common misconception is that doing endless sit-ups will slim your belly. You can’t zone in and spot reduce only certain areas of the body because the body doesn’t work like that. For maximum calorie burning, full body resistance workouts that use all the large muscle groups are the ultimate fat burning exercises as they consume more calories than isolated exercise.
Resistance training is very important for burning calories. In fact, resistance training using resistance bands will have you not only burning calories during your workouts, but you’ll also burn calories for up to 48 hours afterwards. Whereas, cardio only burns calories during exercise.
So how does it work? Lean muscle burns more calories than stored fat does and resistance training builds muscle tissue. Resistance training is the best way to lose overall ‘body fat’ – not ‘lose weight’. However, you can’t completely rely on what your scale reads because muscle may be replacing your fat stores. So while the scale may say you have not lost weight, you may have lost body fat. A better way to assess your results is by gauging how your clothes fit. If they are loosening up then you know you are losing body fat and that’s what your ultimate goal should be.
Let it be known, though, you can’t out exercise a bad diet. If you practice poor eating habits by consuming nutrient deficient foods, it won’t matter how much exercise you do. Start by improving your diet and then include exercise with resistance bands to turn your body into a fat burning machine.
