Stay In Shape Without Going To The Gym
A reader asks…
What’s a really great way to get in shape without going to the gym? I don’t have money to go to the gym because I’m 14 and don’t have a job, but I’m beginning to take interest in working out. I just need some tips on what exercises I can do at home or out in the street like jogging and push ups and stuff like that.

Have your parents get you a set of Bodylastics resistance bands like the ones shown below for Christmas. Then create an account and get some free workouts here. They have 8 different workout shows, but they’ve also got one called TX2, a workout show for teens.
You can easily do these workout at home. All you need is a computer or laptop and an internet connection.
Alright. Diet is important for conditioning. Basically, eat 5 small meals a day and remove grains (potatoes, corn, soy, and wheat) and sugar. Drink plenty of water. Eat plenty of meat.
Now, 3 times a week you should do
3 sets of 8 push ups for shoulders
3 sets of 8 wide grip push ups for chest
3 sets of 8 body rows for back (look them up)
3 sets of 8 pull ups with a close reverse grip (look it up) for back and biceps
3 sets of 8 dips for triceps
3 sets of 8 sissy squats for thighs
2 sets of 20 calve raises
Take a walk in the morning.
