What would be the best way to lose this fat?

Question:
I’m not overweight according to my Doctor, but I’m starting to get a bit of fat on my stomach and I don’t care for it. My diet is fairly bad (lots of soda and I practically live on bread and pasta), but to be honest I don’t want to change this as I rather enjoy my eating habits.

I already walk about ten miles a day but don’t have any kind of “work out” routine. Are there any “magic exercises” I can do every night to get rid of this fat?

Answer:

You can’t out exercise a bad diet.  Did you know that all those refined carbs actually make you crave more carbs?  You can still eat them in moderation, but you need to combine with with fruits and especially vegetables. By watching what I eat and only walking 1-2 miles a day, I can lose about 2 lbs a week.  If you’re walking 10 miles a day and you have a belly, it’s time to add some resistance exercise to build some muscles.  If you’re a chick, don’t worry, you won’t bulk up because you don’t have the testosterone that men do.

The quickest way to lose fat is to build muscle, but you also have to include lean protein in your diet to feed that muscle or you’ll lose it.  Muscles can burn a tremendous amount of stored fat, but only if you maintain them.

Yes, there are “magic exercises”, but you have to give them a chance to work.  It sounds like you don’t have a lot of fat so you can easily start seeing visible results in just a few short weeks.  Click here to get these free workouts from Bodylastics.  They have 11 different online workout shows that are used in conjunction with their resistance bands.  You can do them anywhere you have internet access, even on your smartphone.  Some of the shows are live, but they’re all recorded.
