Will my workout Work? I need help
free workouts
Question:
I’m a teen. I don’t consider myself fat, I’m like 5’6” and 132. However, I would like to lose a few pounds and get “toned/fit.”
So this is my workout regimen:
- Simple Stretching Warm-Up
- Try to go for a 15-30 min. run if it is not too cold or rainy!
- 100 Jumping Jacks (try to take as little breaks as possible)
- 200 crunches (50 regular, 50 right, 50 left, 50 regular)
- 2 x 10 Push-ups (taking breaks in between if needed)
- 2 x 1:30 plank
- 50-75 squats without weight
- 50-75 lunges without weight
- STRETCHING!
How does that look? Will it work? Should I add anything?
I eat pretty well. Lots of vegetables, fruits, low-fat/fat free dairy, NO soda; only water, salads (no dressing), whole grains, etc.
Thanks for your advice!!(:
I also do 20 of these Squat Jump things…I think that’s what they are called lol.
Answer:
You’ve got it all wrong. The fastest way to lose fat is with resistance training and the RIGHT amount of resistance. Then as your body adapts, you have to increase the resistance. Jumping jacks are great for warming up your muscles, but they SUCK at losing weight and burning calories. And all the crunches in the world aren’t going to get you a thinner waistline until you lose the fat and you CANNOT do isolation exercises to do that.
You need total body workouts for all the major muscle groups. Click here to get yourself a set of Bodylastics resistance bands. There’s a huge Black Friday sale going on right now. (Pick up a couple sets for Christmas gifts.) Then go here for free workouts that you can do with the bands. You’ll get those high intensity workouts that literally melt fat off your body and you only need 30 minutes every other day or 15 minutes a day.
